INFORMATIONAL SERVICES COORDINATOR

PURPOSE
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys working with both technology and people. There is a significant opportunity in this role to contribute technically and creatively to developing and adapting FSBIT’s information systems. This position will be on-site (FSBIT Office), able to work remotely (average two days/week).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. The Informational Services Coordinator (ISC) is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
  2. The ISC will be responsible for onsite and offsite support for employees, including traveling employees as well as remote teleworkers.
  3. This individual is accountable for the following systems: Windows systems infrastructure; Network, Public and Internal Websites, and Windows and Application systems that support insurance systems including ISC engineering and provisioning, operations, and support.
  4. This individual will comply and respond to annual audits for IT and other needs, following best practices and guidelines.

BONA FIDE OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (BFOQ)

  1. Bachelor’s (4 years) degree or Associate’s (2 years) degree and 2 years of experience in an IT support or IT operations role.
  2. Working knowledge of computer systems, cloud platform administration (particularly Microsoft 365), and cloud security.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and applications.
  4. Desktop publishing (including working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite).
  5. Ability to use WordPress and other content management platforms.
  6. Ability to become familiar with trust-specific programs and software.
  7. Experience with digital file and document management.
  8. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Excellent task management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
  11. Ability to translate technological information to non-tech colleagues.
  12. Strong problem-solving skills.
  13. Interest in identifying and assisting with the implementation of process improvements.
  14. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including onsite equipment and remote support of company-managed laptops and applications.
  2. Assist with procurement and distribution of hardware and software.
  3. Support device replacement process in the event of damage or end of lifecycle.
  4. Assist with hardware reclamation processes.
  5. Maintain and update the internal technology asset tracking system.
  6. Contribute to the gamification of training to support technical proficiencies and security awareness.
  7. Triage and project management (in partnership with the IS Director) incoming requests from users for system/feature changes.
  8. Identify opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
  9. Manage license distribution for supplemental systems.
  10. Handle onsite device collection and distribution as needed.
  11. Provide Tier 1 support for staff to address routine technical questions and needs.
  12. Explore new technologies and make recommendations to support technical/operational improvements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  2. Push, pull up to 30 lbs. Lift and carry 30 lbs.

STATUS:
Reports to the Director of Informational Services

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  1. Exempt. Full-time position. Normal working days are Monday through Friday, and normal working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  2. Travel possible. Overnight travel can be up to 10%. Travel outside of the state of Florida is possible.
  3. Salary is to be established by the Executive Director and approved by the FSBIT Board of Trustees.
